Do you remember the time when set a goal? Do you remember the time when you made your first move towards it? And how do you feel you are somewhere lagging in it? Somewhere falling behind? Or losing the interest in it because you feel the way to it is too steep to climb? And what to do to regain interest? To regain the motivation to climb up? What should I invest to get these back in me and so that I can again go for it? Well, let me say you one advice on what you must invest in order to achieve your goal...
You must have seen the title. It says spending time alone. Now you may ask why only this? Shouldn't I put my efforts, rather than simply 'wasting time' being alone? At that time I could have got some good advice and would have started moving. Then why to simply spend time alone?
My answer: You would have surely started. And surely you would have quit very soon!
Why it happens? Simple. It's like you are trying to grow a plant into a tree but are regularly cutting its roots just because of confined space.
Let me tell you now in detail:
Your goals are like a tiny sapling. They haven't received any food yet. It requires nutrients. Similarly, your goals require your efforts and time as nutrients. But you have to know here one thing, that no matter how much nutrients or how much time and effort you put, the sapling has to first grow its roots to absorb them. The same way your motivation and imagination are the roots of your goal.
You are motivated to do it. So you increase it into your efforts. Your efforts finally determine your way to your success. But where does spending time alone kicks in?
As I said before, Imagination and motivation.
Have you ever daydreamed? At that time do you keep talking to someone else or do you do some other work? No. you remain alone in your world of dreams. And after it ends, you have a new level of excitement.
You just become happy. But since it is normally not related to your goals, you forget it later. But now try to see, you got that feeling only when you spent your time ALONE. That excitement is nothing but your motivation. That happiness which you get is your motivation. Now just if you spend your time alone, you think of your goals, you think of your present situation, your condition, the problems you are facing right now, and so many other topics.
When you think about something, you actually create a BLUEPRINT either to solve it(problems) or to take action according to it(goals).
And about the confined space, here it means the daily life you live in. The work, job, household tasks, watching television and so much more. I know, now you are somewhat free because of the lockdown. But when the system operates completely normal? You won't get free time. I am talking about a common man. Best assumption. Others may get more free time. So this confined space cuts the root of the sapling. Hence it cannot grow.
Then there is no question of it turning into a tree. Coming to the point, spending time alone, dreaming fuels you up to go for your goals. Your interests are revived. You can do always what you wanted to do. When you are alone, I recommend focusing on your targets rather than your problems. If you are determined, problems cannot stop you.
Spending time alone attracts focus on yourself. Not on others. The mission of Best Teacher is to make you aware of what you are doing, what you should do, and how to do it.
Spending time alone doesn't require many procedures/instructions or any other rubbish kinds of stuff.
So, my concluding point:
Remember to fuel yourself. You have a long way to go. Spending your time alone thinking about your development is like the fuel station. So stop for a while, distance yourself from the outside world. And recharge yourself.
I tried it and it WORKS!!! My focus improved and I can now reach my goals faster than I could before.
FORGE AHEAD!!!!
